This coming Monday’s evening ride out is a jaunt of approximately 40 miles through Wetherby, Boston Spa, Tadcaster and along some very winding roads to the south of York. After that, a quick whizz around the ring road will bring us to The Wetherby Whaler near Poppleton for some splendid fish and chips.
Meet at the usual place Asda lorry park, Dragon Road, Harrogate 7.00 pm for a 7.30 pm set off. The ride is about 1 hour and 1o minutes long with no worries about fuel as there is petrol station next to our stop near Poppleton.
Come along if possible. I do recommend the fish and chips at the Wetherby Whaler, I had some this evening, but don’t tell Kathy.
This month may be our final Monday evening ride of the year as in September the nights will be drawing in. A decision can be made nearer the time.
Hopefully the weather will be kind to us as it has been for most of the rides this year. I will be leading the ride, a volunteer tail-end Charlie would be appreciated, you can even borrow my orange waistcoat! Just kidding!
